Fun facts: From 1993-1996, with her books available in multiple languages, Nancy was interviewed by dozens of national and international media including CNN, CNBC, The Geraldo Show, WPIX and the BBC. Access to the Internet was new for most people in the early '90s and Nancy taught countless media, including NPR, how to access the Internet.
In 1993/94 after being appalled by the high volume of pedophiles encountered during her research, she filed a column in ComputerLife magazine and demonstrated on WPIX-TV and other broadcast outlets, how predators were preying on children online and what parents could do to prevent their children from becoming victims. For TV news shows, she feigned teenager status and caught predators red-handed.
"To Catch a Predator," hosted by Chris Hansen, which premiered in November 2004, took a page out of Nancy's playbook.
During the course of her editorial and public relations career, Nancy has written hundreds of articles. She is an active ghostwriter for corporate clients - researching and writing articles on a variety of subjects including mining & energy metals, biopharma, and physical security. She has been a contributor and columnist to many publications including Computer Life magazine, Longevity and Penthouse magazines.
Nancy's first professional job was as a violist for Filarmonica de las Americas in Mexico City when she was in high school. The orchestra toured throughout the Americas including Lima, Peru and Buenos Aires, Argentina. She attended Juilliard Pre-College from ages 12 to 17.

In the shadow of New York's bustling arts scene and the rise of the Internet, a young violist haunted by the ghost of a writer begins a journey from classical music prodigy to cybersex pioneer, uncovering family betrayals, unspoken illness and the pursuit of an authentic self.

Weird Al Yankovic's penetrating gaze caught my attention as I browsed through The Village Voice. Al asked whether 'meaningful relationships' were becoming tiring, and he offered the ultimate 'empty experience,' a dream date with him complete with pizza and blueberry daiquiris. Working in marketing at Columbia House, the SVP of Music Club Marketing, asked me to write about the experience of winning the date for the company's newsletter; the fictionalized version is featured in Deleted Scenes. For all the dreamy date details, listen to Dave & Ethan's 2000" Weird Al Podcast!
Gravitating to the Personals as directed, I quickly chose the ad I thought was Al’s. It read:
SWM satirist/accordion player in his 20’s is looking for his dream date. Must be female between 4 and 7 ft. tall and unbelievably attractive, as well as into recreational activities involving bowling balls, Saran Wrap, mayonnaise, shoehorns, twinkies and Silly Putty. No weirdos please. Send a photo or a crayon drawing, whatever is more flattering.
Inspiration seized me by the shoehorns and I hammered away my response:
Dear Weird Al,
At last, I have found a soul mate. Most of my favorite recreational activities revolve around bowling balls, Saran Wrap, mayonnaise, shoehorns, Twinkies, and Silly Putty. But I would also relish the opportunity of introducing you to the wonders of sauerkraut, hot dogs, and pet rocks. Anyway, I just want to mention how much I enjoy your work. You have given me infinitely more pleasure than pet rocks. If you ever need an electric fiddle player or a Saran wrapped, mayonnaise clad date, please call.
I enclosed a photo of my electric violin and me and immediately tried to forget I did such an outlandish thing.
